Managing Your Peace [WITH VIDEO]

PEACE MANAGEMENT VIDEO

Dr. Jay on Peace Management

In these perilous times where we have a ton of stress and uncertainty going on – it is utterly important that we learn to manage our peace rather than or stress. Too many people are trying to control their outside environment, in which they really have no control over. This causes undue stress, worry and anxiety.

To combat this, it is very important that we “unsubscribe” from all the things that are robbing us of our peace. The most important one to CUT from your life is the News. I encourage all of my patients to cut the news out of their life because it, in my opinion, is the biggest instigator for stress. The news has become a center for psychological warfare on both sides. Instead of giving people factual information and balanced views, they only lead people to anger, frustration, and depression. I’m thankful I don’t have cable or digital television within my home. Sadly, I think freedom of the press is, well, dead…

Today, I did a Facebook Live video on Managing your peace – rather than managing your stress you should focus on PEACE MANAGEMENT. Just like you should focus on Wealth Management versus Debt Management – this is because what you focus on grows!

Where focus goes Energy Flows – Tony Robbins

Every Morning When You Wake Up!

Every morning when you wake up you should be INVESTING in your peace! There is no better way to do this then by focusing on your health. Focus on your health and all else will follow. Here’s why, When you change your physiology you radically change your psychology. For example, when you workout and move your body not only do you destress but it changes your mindset – you feel really good – and you’re happy. I remember times in my life when I was suffering through strife, anger, depression, and sadness and the gym became my sanctuary!

Motion creates Emotion and a LACK of Motion leads to a LACK of happiness. Our Bodies were designed for movement!

So, what are your daily morning habits? How do you start your day? My suggestion is start your day off with a BIG TALL GLASS of Highly Filtered Water (16 ounces). Followed by 5-15 minutes of meditation, prayer and/or affirmations [THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT]. Then I would suggest reading a non-fiction book on a topic you’re interested in. Currently, I’m reading through the Bible. And, then I would suggest working out for a minimum of 13 minutes doing a High Intensity Interval Training Session or 20 minutes of brisk walking or maybe even a circuit training session. Just move! In essence do what the average person doesn’t do.

The average American consumes the News shortly after they wake up putting their bodies into a state of stress, followed by a cup of coffee and no water. Not only will they be stressed but their bodies will be dehydrated. Now tell me how does a stressed out person who is dehydrated function well throughout the rest of their day?

So these are just some of the things I do in the morning… Let me take a page out of my own book “Designed to Thrive” and show you my daily routine.

“You do not manage your stress; you manage your peace. Peace is the normal, natural state God Created [FOR US ALL].” – Dr. Ben Lerner, D.C.

  1. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much
about this, like you wrote the book in it or something.
I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the
message home a little bit, but instead of that, this
is magnificent blog. A fantastic read. I’ll definitely be back.
